Whats your climbing story?

Big fat post ahead.

Obviously when I started getting into ranked I had no idea what I was getting into, I was nervous and thought "oh boy this is where the serious gameplay is". I picked something random like varus, having no idea of matchup knowledge, positioning, kiting mecanics, etc. and getting smashed in lane didn't help that feeling. Ended up getting placed bronze 1. And every time I played it every now and then id lose more. So it started off like anyone else really.

After that I became a trist main in normals. This was probably my next step as a player because I took allot of time studying this champion, and it all came down to one thing, just jump on their ass and kill them. Thats all I got from the replays I watched of the pros, they just went in and jumped on people and got kills, and I was down to try it.

So after smashing 100's of normal games on this little lady, I knew her well enough to not be terrible with her in ranked, I was actually boosted from bronze to 3ish to silver 5 playing with my duo. Playing these games I learned to jump on people and kill them, but I also learned other stuff..

Jumping in actually gets you killed if you don't think it through, here's where I learned more things, Like limits of your champion, it took allot of deaths jumping in before i realized that, you could call it tristana syndrome.

At this time I also had a few coaches, and by this time my mecanics had improved (auto spacing etc.) I learned allot of stuff about bot lane, mostly just simple stuff like pushing the wave before you recall.

Its hard to remember the whole story. But at this point I already decided that this was the role I was gonna play, so I expanded my pool of marksmen after trist became a bit weak.

I actually can't remember my story from high silver to low silver, I rememeber I was boosted, but I don't know whether I got low silver on my own or what the deal was, I was boosted as high as gold 3 I remember

Obviously I couldn't play at gold elo very well at the time, I think after I decayed back down after the season reset I was messing around mid silver? it was like the beginning of this season I think. At that point I believe I could beat high silver players pretty easy, so I was around mid silver.

At this point Ive played adc quite allot so I got good at it, learning all the basics of positioning in fights, learning how lanes work better, how to wait and weary of their big cooldowns, mind you I knew all these things, but they definitely were not set in stone, it would take a while before they would.

I also began to improve in very basic league things in general, CS, Watching the map. I remember someone told me once some diamond players have shit map awareness, and another coach really emphasized map awareness, And it really is great, if you have the patience to look at it you'll have allot more info than someone else. Since I began to pick up twitch, it was basically a requirement to look at the minimap to see if their adc was alone or not.

After really grinding it out i drifted around mid high silver. I honestly believe me getting to gold was watching some of the content of xfsn_saber. He shed so much light on bot lane, Allot of how different lanes interact with each other, being very patient and safe, and just doing the best thing possible to the situation

Last part of my story is the ranked anxiety arc, after hitting gold I felt allot of nervousness playing. Worrying whether or not I would lose, and it would really hurt my gameplay, stuff would tilt me pretty bad. So I ended up playing on my smurf again and started playing more, and now I ended up at about mid gold to high gold, finding plat players every now and then.

So yeah thats my story, if anyone else has a story that'd be great to hear how others climbed
