Nuka-World: Kill Raiders, not Traders?

So this cyclops gets me to murder his old boss and tells me I'm the new boss. Hahah guy, nice one, let me just hold still so you can shove the inevitable knife in my back. ;D Also have you met me, I came in here like I was riding a slip-and-slide of blood and it ain't gonna dry up any time soon. Coincidentally, my what lovely exposed fleshy bits you have.

So being a 'good' person (by murdering as many people as I can get away with) and having no patience for politics or being some Jared-Leto-knock-off's errandboy, I'm resolved to kill every raider I can find. I figured out quickly that killing a named raider will piss ALL THE RAIDERS off. However, if I run around like the sneaky little bastard that I have always been at heart and take people down with a silenced pistol, I can nearly empty the whole camp without anyone getting feisty. My plan is to methodically hunt them all like the animals that they are, create a pyramid of heads in the fountain, then go take out the leaders.

So! I have noticed that sometimes, when I am less than perfectly sneaky, a trader will see me de-skulling somebody and he or she will immediately become hostile, causing my otherwise quite reasonable friends and companions to ventilate him/her unnecessarily. I don't believe in shooting unarmed people with explosive collars on their necks. It's unsporting and dull.

Thus my question: When I do eventually aggro the last of the raiders and cue the final all-out fight against any stragglers I've missed with my sneaky gun, what will happen to the random traders wandering around? Will they become hostile to me too? Will the raiders try to kill them? Is there a kill switch for their collars I should know about? Would like to avoid all trader deaths if possible. I don't think they even give me exp anymore.

EDIT: Tangential question - I would rather not kill any pack-puppies either. Will all the doggos and puppers in the amphitheater go aggro when I kill the raiders? Can they be tamed into friendliness with the charisma perks?
