Problems with wickinh; RTA

Ive got a few RTAs, 2 geekvapes, a kylin and an azeroth.. im using the 46pc coil set by demon killer.. sometimes ill get great builds and the vape hits like a champ. Nice clouds, good strong flavor., everything ypu could want in a vape; but often this doesnt last long. I start to get harsh throat hits, not that bad at first, but i dont understand why the flavor doesn't last. Could it be the amount of cotton i use on the wick? Maybe less is more? Any tips?
