Watched item not falling off 'continue watching'

Hi all, I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but I searched and couldn't seem to find an answer. I have a specific TV episode that absolutely refuses to fall out of the 'continue watching' section. I've marked it as read, watched it again, skipped till the end, everything I can think of minus deleting it. This has been persistent between version upgrades as well. The one thing I haven't checked is if it's open on another device somewhere. That being said, I haven't seen it show in PlexPy as being active on my account. Any suggestions or thoughts?
