Suggestions for getting into local indies

I've been into WWE for as long as I can remember but I've never checked out any of the local indie circuits. Anyone have suggestions for promotions in Southwest Ohio or surrounding areas that would be worth checking out? I don't know if I'm not looking in the right places, but I can't find much. Thanks!
