Do I need to check for asbestos?

I'm renovating my home 1960's home and I've been demoing my bathroom. There are some tiles on the wall that I want to remove. After got a crow bar between the cement board and dry wall and took a chunk of cement board off. Underneath was a white powdery substance. Seeing that just got me thinking that I might need to get the room checked.

Update: don't know if anybody is still looking at this, but I got everything tested and it came back negative! Really happy I did it. Thanks for all the responses!
