NMIL is telling family members I'm infertile

My mother in law (she could have an entire narc sub reddit dedicated to her) is someone who I have been NC with for 2 years. My husband is LC.

I've posted about her before I think we gave her the name Whoreder. If I can post the link to my first post about her I will in comments.

Well, she just cannot take a hint or accept that my husband and I aren't having kids right now (or maybe ever) so she called my husband last week and asked if the reason we weren't having kids is because I'm physically incapable. My husband told her no.

Well we were at a birthday party for a cousin yesterday and my husbands sister sadly told me that she heard about our problems and she has been looking up some adoption information and if I need any help to let her know.

I was like, what?? I mean my husband and I have privately discussed maybe adopting a kid one day but we never told people this. Then she said "Mom told me about how you can't get pregnant." Well needless to say I was livid.

My husband called his mom to ask why she told people this and she said because she "doesn't know what else to say" and when people ask why we still don't have children she doesn't want to say it's a choice becuse then people will "think we are bad people."

I really wish I could press charges against her or something for spreading false medical information about me but I know that's crazy and overreacting and impossible but I DO want her to pay some kind of consequence.

She lives in a world where she does and says whatever she wants and doesn't care.

She wants to control the narrative of everyone's life and even being NC I still have to deal with this.
