About immigration in France (Maghreb point of view)

I'm a Moroccan and Moroccans (along with Algerians and Tunisians) tend to represent a large chunk of immigrants in France, so I wanted to clear some misconceptions about the immigration from North Africa to France.

First of all, France is tied historically to North Africa because of colonialism, Algeria was a French department for about 130 years, and Morocco and Tunisia were under French occupation one way or the other, while the exploitation of African resources under colonialism was transparent, there is a lot of argument to be made about the post-colonialism exploitation, I will keep this topic about North Africa but this affects Africa as a whole. Algeria has one of the biggest gas reserves in the world, Morocco is the largest phosphate exporter and due to the geographical placement has access to the sides of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic that is rich in sea life, the exploitations of which are all contracted to French multinationals by the ruling class that is historically closely tied to France, France serves as protectors and advisor to the royal family in Morocco and Algeria is ruled by generals that all served under France and whose assets are all in France. On top of that, most of our expensive imports (factory machines, Planes, Trains..) are from France sometimes disregarding the competitive price. I'm not making the point that France is somehow responsible for the poverty and corruption in North Africa and thus has a moral obligation to bring in immigrants, I'm just pointing out that the idea that France being so tied to Africa speaks to France being "cucked" is retarded, France goes to great lengths to maintain political and cultural control over western Africa because it's a huge asset to their economy.

Now on the topic of Immigration. the fact that our culture, politics and economical system are so tied to France and honestly closer to that of France than of middle eastern nations, produce the effect that North Africans immigrate primarily to France since they speak the language, can identify with the culture to some extent and generally have relatives in France. Again France is not a stupid and suicidal country like people on the right suggest, and they don't "import hoards of Africans". there are two main types of permanent immigrants to France, people who marry French citizens and Students who then get a job in France

*Immigration through mariage : France already has tough laws to ensure that these immigrants are a net benefit to France, for your application to be admitted you have to first get married, they carefully make sure that it's a marriage out of love so people marrying people that are older than them, for instance, are immediately rejected and they run back up and post immigration checks including government agents knocking on your door at night to make sure you both sleep in the same bed. Also, the person you are getting married to has to demonstrate that they can financially support two people and have a permanent residence, plus usually people who are married tend to join the workforce as soon as possible since they would have kids and need to support them. So it usually works out just fine for France since they get stable low-skill labor that is incentivised to work. I don't see how the country can be any tougher aside from outright forbidding people who are married to live with each other.

*Students : Since education is free both in North Africa and France, here again, France is the beneficiary from this type of immigration since the government here spends 25.000 Euros per students till he is done with high school, and since students are incentivised indirectly to finish their studies in France because of the culture, the language and a better career, France campus gets a lot of applications from Morocco and Algeria and only accepts the highest scoring students which is a great resource. So compared to a French citizen that the French government spends money on they get to directly scoop off the top and get high scoring students that go to their universities and they don't even have to support them since France doesn't financially support foreign students. It's also very damaging to the home country that loses the much needed qualified labour.

Ironically most of the Moroccan students tend to do very well in universities and mainly chose Finance, Mathematial&physics sciences, Medecine and tend to work executive jobs which put them in the middle class that is taxed heavily in France and pays for the welfare of the lower class in which Le Pen voter base has a strong representation
