Anything you guys recommend to replace this?

Battery is struggling on my N5 and the screen is cracked due to dropping it a few times. Works great though, but due to the battery life, I do believe it is time for a new phone. Is there anything you guys recommend that is a decent cost efficient upgrade to the N5? I was looking at the S7E, but haven't heard great things especially with how some people say it is barely any better than the N5. Thoughts?
