God-like Bog Cult Barbarian?

In the bog area with the bog cultists, there’s this one bog barbarian near a bonfire southwest of the map who seems to be just insanely overpowered. I didn’t try any CC on him and I’m pretty sure I could kill him if I paralyzed him and just let my team beat him to death. But does anyone know why this dude in particular can wipe my entire max level party in 10 seconds flat?

Edit: Found out the cause, he used heart of fury and for some reason that’s strong enough to wipe out 4 of my six members in an instant.
