Thinking about getting the v20 (h990DS). Does the camera lens still crack? Other recommendations?

I'm getting a new phone and thinking about the v20 (h990ds) which I can get for ~650 CAD which is ~500 USD. I've been liking most of what I've been seeing but I'm worried about the camera lens cracking very easily. The reports were old so I just wanted to check if these problems still exist. Also if you have any other suggestions around the same price point for a new phone.

The features I like.

• Replaceable battery
• Quad DAC
• Screen size (Some people say it's too big, but I find it to be almost perfect for me)
• Camera
• Developer options kind of, but you still can't unlock the bootloader without rooting, so I'm kind of meh on this one.
