What would happen if, when the female Founder stabilized Odo before he rejoined The Great Link, she immediately realized they were both infected with the disease and thought it was a mutation of what they had inflicted him with?

So I was just watching an old clip, and it dawned on me she was probably infected at that exact moment so even if Odo decided not to rejoin the Great Link the plan of Section 31 probably would have went to plan.

What if she was able to notice the disease instantly, but jumped to the wrong conclusion and thought it was just an accidental mutation in what the Founders had done to Odo. Perhaps even thinking that it was something that Bashir had done by accident while trying to cure Odo.
