[Routine Help]Out of control sebaceous filaments
For some background, I'm 21 years old and have been struggling with sebaceous filaments since early high school. I've tried various products recommended from derms (some prescriptions and some over the counter) over the years with no real success. I've been told it's something I might have to live with, but I'm not going to accept that statement; I'm very self conscious about people noticing and I've just hit a wall.
I believe my skin type is complex / can easily dry out. My t-zone can get very dry very easily, but the other areas of my face seem to be healthy and 'normal'. In the past I've used some harsh cleansers resulting in what I think was dehydrated skin. My nose and forehead would get dry and flakey, so I would use an unbelievable amount of moisturizer to counter act the dryness thinking that the oiliness was clogging my pores. But I've come to realize the oil on my t-zone was just my skin compensating for my over-cleansing.
I did some research, and I understand these things take a great deal of time, experimentation, and patience, but I would really like some input and product recommendations.
Currently I'm using:
AM CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVa Fatal Moisturizing Lotion AM
PM CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVa Fatal Moisturizing Lotion PM
Occasional Alpha 10% Glycolic AHA at night, Stri-dex Maximum Strength Pads in the morning
I really haven't used the Stri-dex pads because I feel they're too strong for my skin and were slightly irritating. The 10% glycolic AHA doesn't seem to be bother my skin.
Again, and help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated- thank you!
I'm reposting this with a new title because I'm dumb :/
