Kyoto doctor or clinic for blood clot, inexpensive rec would be great

Our two week trip in Japan has been so amazing so far, (driving in Hakodate was much easier than I feared, ryokans are amazing, humidity is no joke) but unfortunately it looks like my partner needs to see a doctor. Redness around the ankle below a potental clot that he had been taking an anti-imflamatiry for. We're in Kyoto for five days and I'd like to make him an apt somewhere to have it looked at. (7days till our 14hr flight back to the US) We don't have travel insurance (ugh yes I know but he was sure it would be considered a prior condition ) Is there a Japanese version of nurse practitioner? Walk in clinic? From what I've read small clinics seem to specialize, but I'm not sure what category this falls under. I'm hoping that no scans will be needed and we can avoid a hospital. We're between kyoto station and nishiki market - but I will go anywhere in the city. Thanks in advance, I'll check in during the day and tonight.
