Bellamy Is the Only Antagonist To Have His Story Arc Come Full Circle (So Far)

I have to admit I used to absolutely hate Bellamy as a character. Him bouncing around being all arrogant on both Jaya and Dressrosa made it so satisfying to see his face get punched in (twice).

But I was re watching the Dressrosa scene again on youtube but this time it almost brought tears to my eyes for some reason. He was a man who had lost everything, idolized the wrong man but was too proud to admit it. But instead of tucking his tail between his legs and running he decided to see it through.

When he attacked Luffy the second time it was his cry for help, he knew luffy was the man to defeat doflomingo and lift the burden off his shoulders. He went from an arrogant bully following a false idol, to following a man whose dreams he shat on 2 years earlier. What a beautiful story arc.
