WP-Admin says invalid login/password and won't let me login after site restore
I'm a newbie and tinkering and learning Wordpress. I have it setup on a Synology NAS.
The NAS told me that I needed up update the mariadb, so I did. It gave me an error, then kicked me out and the site went down. After successfully getting mariadb installed, I found that Wordpress was uninstalled. I reinstalled it, but now it was blank and no content.
I restored the site with a plugin that backed it up to dropbox and all seemed well.
Now I find that I can't login to wp-admin anymore. I keep getting invalid login and/or username. The email reset option doesn't work:
The email could not be sent. Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.
I looked in the wp-config file to get the database name and I see it. When I open phpmyadmin, that database name is nowhere to be found.
Neither is the "wp_users" field in any of the databases that are showing in PHPmyadmin.
The kicker is that I was in the wp-admin page to load the plugin that I used to restore my site. Since then I can't get in. I am guessing that something got restored that changed my login to the site but I can't figure what, nor can I figure a way back in.
Ideas?
