The queueing system really needs to be fixed

As a current silver 2(borderline silver 3) player, I'd like to express a problem that I've noticed in the queueing system. Over the past few days, I've been play league like alot. I have some wins (a lot of losses) and I've noticed a pattern in my losses where I've been consistently been getting matched up against gold 4/5 players. From my rank, it basically means that if I want to rank up to Silver 1, I need to beat golds. I don't know how that makes sense. If I want to rank to the next division, why do I need to go against people 2 or 3 divisions higher than me? If any of you guys thinks this makes sense, please give me an explaination.
