Anyone else become super inhibited on weed?

I'm normally a pretty sociable guy an I've done a vast number of drugs including psychedelics. But for whatever reason I'm unable to enjoy weed unless I'm secluded by myself watching netflix (or porn). Every time I smoke with people I become super awkward and overly inhibited. Like it's not exactly paranoia or anxiety. It's just that my mind starts working at warp speed and I just start thinking way too much to the point where I forget how to talk to another human being. I also get a feeling that other people ice me out of conversations when I'm high and I just end up quietly on my phone. It's weird because I know some awkward guys who become less inhibited when they smoke weed. Am I the only person like this? And do you think that a xanax weed combo would solve this problem?
