I'm not sure how to bring up that I (24F) want my SO (30M) to degrade me during sex [kinks]

I've been seeing my current SO for a couple of months now and the sex has been awesome so far. One thing that I am missing is for things to get a little dirtier. I discovered how much I enjoyed being degraded in bed with a FWB. I am pretty submissive, and when my partner calls me a slut, bitch, whore, cunt, etc, it seriously turns me on.

This came as a shock to me, especially because I identify as a feminist and would never, ever want to be called those names outside of the bedroom. My SO knows this and has said many times one of the things he likes most about me is how supportive I am of other women and the importance of speaking out against misogyny.

I think telling him that I actually WANT him to degrade me in bed would make him feel really awkward. It's something I struggled with at first too - I've began to understand that it comes down to trusting my partner and giving consent.

How should I bring this up in a way that won't freak him out?
