Progesterone question

So I forced my doc to add progesterone to my regimen even though he wasn't convinced of the results. One of my trans friends asked me how much I'm on. She was confused when I said I was on 5mg a day, because she's on 100mg a day. (I'm on medroxyprogesterone and she's on progesterone.) Why is this? I've been on progesterone for almost six months and she's only been on it for a month.
