Reddit links sent to me (via chat or email) won't open in the RIF app. Reset all app preferences, only offers to open link in browser.

As title says. I used to be able to select for the app to open reddit links by default but now Android won't even suggest it and only offers browsers. I've recently done a clean flash of my phone and reinstalled everything. My wife's phone will offer the app. Is there a way to force Android to offer it?

S4, lineageOS 14.1

RiF 4.6.5

Edit. I think I fixed it. I copied another reddit link and set RiF to open a default then went back to the other link. It still only gives me the browser options but i select a browser "just once" and then it gave me another selection where I could select RiF. Set that as "always". Now it still only gives me the browser options but selecting a browser then automatically opens the link in RiF. Just in case that helps anyone in the future.
