Is Twitch slowly becoming Justin.TV 3.0? Is this a bad thing if it is?

Let me start with this... I like what Twitch is becoming. I know there are thousands of purists who say that Twitch should "ONLY BE FOR GAMES" or that "no one cares for face-cams.. the focus should be on gaming." I've heard both of these arguments before when talking with friends about Twitch and Hitbox or streaming in general. Then a few years(?) ago Twitch introduced non-gaming categories in Programming, Cosplay, and etc. Shortly after that "Gaming Talk Shows" and "Creative" and now "IRL" are a thing. I'm PRETTY sure that if any person would've started streaming any of these things years ago, that account and channel would've been banned.

Now, here we are 2017... and Twitch is literally two or three steps away from becoming YouTube and similar to its Justin.TV predecessor (minus the illegal WWE and UFC pay-per-view streams).

My question is, is this necessarily a bad thing that it is? I mean people are already complaining about Affiliates (separate post for that soon on top of the dozens already made :( ... Seriously people are threatened with an "easier" way to the button?). What happens if Twitch becomes that which many loathe?
