Wish I wasn't posting here...

Looks like my first pregnancy isn't the one that's sticking... I had spotting that turned to bleeding. Passed several smaller clots and two large ones. Went to the ER, cervix was closed, hCG came back at a not-abnormal level, sent for an US the next day that showed a gestational sac only and measured at about 6weeks- LMP put me at 6+5. They said stuff wasn't 'off' enough to determine if it was a MC or not, so to take it easy for the next week or two and follow up with blood work and another US in two weeks. Repeated blood work today, hCG levels went from 7174 at 2300h Thursday to 5488 this morning (Sunday) at 0930h.

DH and I are pretty bummed. As much as the ER docs told me it was anyone's guess as to what was happening I was pretty sure things were over. My symptoms had decreased over the last week and I didn't really feel pregnant anymore. Doesn't make today any easier though. At least knowing is better than the mental terrorism of the last few days having no idea where this was going.

Dr wants me to go for the repeat US in two weeks to check where tings are at. She said it doesn't look good, but to not totally give up hope. I have no hope. I'm sure it will simply be a way to check if my uterus has cleared itself or not and if any intervention is required.
