[5e] A question about Tiefling Paladins (first post)

I'm thinking about creating a tiefling vengeance paladin for my first character. I love the flavor of the character, but I'm worried about the lack of strength that I'll have during earlier levels (as i'll be taking GWM at lvl 4). Will it hurt my character (in combat and out) to be at 15 strength until level 8?

Any help is appreciated.
