AMA: Solo traveling South America two years in a VW Bus with my dog

I'm happy to answer any questions you guys may have pertaining to long term solo travel. Finances, loneliness, robberies, safety measures, buying a vehicle, what to avoid and how to perceive people. I'm especially interested in encouraging people to get off the tourist routes and really experience local cultures. I'm a disabled veteran who also counsels people on giving up pills and booze to heal things like depression and instead, travel to heal.
