Alex Desk vs Micke Desk

I need help deciding between the Alex desk and the larger Micke desk. I will use it for a 15.6" laptop and a secondary 22" slim LED monitor. I will not put a lot of weight to them but I have read that the Micke is not very sturdy and that it is worth spend the extra buck for the Alex. What are you guys thoughts bout this?

In IKEA Dominican Republic the Alex desk is only $35 dollars more. So I am almost decided to get the Alex.
