Composite Manufacturing Questions
Hi guys, our team has a bit of experience doing some wet layup manufacturing, but this year we are able to obtain access to an autoclave. I had just a few questions to ask about moving on to prepreg composite fabrication.
For molds, what materials would you suggest? I've been looking at MDF but I'm curious about the other options out there that can withstand the temperature of the autoclave and have a manageable coefficient of thermal expansion.
As for the carbon fiber itself, we've been looking at prepreg fabrics from several companies, but are there any you would specifically suggest?
Thanks for any info! And if you have any links to additional resources, that would be greatly appreciated as well!
