[Event] Expanding the Cities

The council of the Swiss Confederacy, somewhat newly endowed with the power to enact actual legislation, has taken some time to decide on its first sweeping action in its slightly more centralized state. After a significant amount of debate, however, the decision has been made to invest a significant portion of the Confederacy's shared treasury into improvements to the cantons.

The first round of these improvements will be focused on the Eight Cantons: Uri, Schwyz, Unterwalden ((in terms of provinces, Obwalden and Nidwalden, with the money split 50/50)), Lucerne, Zurich, Glarus, and Berne ((Biel)).

Each of these cantons will have one hundred thousand ducats invested in tax infrastructure, from the reparation of roads to the hiring of more administrators to the employment of citizens in new farms and workshops. Hopefully, this investment will be made up for by significant dividends in the coming years.

TL;DR: investing quite a bit of money (800,000 in total) into quite a few provinces in an attempt to increase their tax base.
