Where to start?

[Help]

Hi, me and my roommate have started to play Project M incredibly casually, just fucking around with it. However that's not good enough for me... I'd love to wreck him, so what resources are there for me to get better short of learning an entire new jargon and diving in completely?

I tend to play Roy and Pit, so if there is any advice for those characters that would also be appreciated, thanks

the Wiki and FAQ links at the top should help. the Discord links are cool too, if you ever decide on learning a character's ins & outs.

For low level play, learn how to crouch cancel as Roy. Just hold down when he hits you, then hit him back with dtilt into a hot little combo.

The Wiki is this guide I made detailing all over the (mostly) non-character specific Advanced Techniques. This should allow you to brush up on terminology and maybe learn about a new tech! Hope it helps!

Here's a neat document that serves as a collection of PM resources.
