Chest information: by Split Infinity via his FFXII Differences and Extras FAQ @ http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/939426-final-fantasy-xii-international-zodiac-job-system/faqs/49691
I kept Split Infinity's original Format to leave his mark on these maps, as they would not have been possible without his FAQ. Format is read like this:
1 | yes | 40% | 50% | ~45 | Potion | Phoenix Down with Diamond Armlet | Knot of Rust | Meteorite (A)
1= the number of the chest that corresponds with the map.
yes= does the chest re-spawn or not. If not = no.
40%= this equals the chance the chest has to spawn on each entry to zone.
50%= this equals the chance the chest will contain gil instead of an item.
~45= the maximum amount of gil you can get from the chest if you get gil instead of an item.
Potion= If you get an Item from the chest, there is a 50% chance you will get what’s in the first box.
Phoenix Down= If you get an Item from the chest, there is a 50% chance you will get what’s in the second box.
Knot of Rust= If you have the Diamond Armlet Equipped and you get an item from the chest, there is a 95% chance you will get what’s in the first box.
Meteorite (A)= If you have the Diamond Armlet Equipped and you get an item from the chest, there is a 5% chance you will get what is in the second box.
If you need further description of how the chest system format is read please refer to Split Infinity’s guide, the link is at the top of this Read Me.
There may be minor errors, but for the most part these maps are 100% accurate.
Information changed from Split Infinity’s Difference FAQ chest Contents, to update with English Translation patch by ffgriever;

Meteorite, there are 4 different kinds and they each do something different. There is no way to tell them apart in the combat screen so it is a good idea to organize them in a manner you know which one is which. If you look at them under “Items” in your inventory they do have a somewhat cryptic description. This is how you tell them apart.
Yet again, just an ordinary stone - Meteorite (A)
Hmm… Just a common chondrite – Meteorite (B)
Wow, iron-doped plastic pallasite – Meteorite (C)
Oh! Marvelous Octahendrite! Look at the beautiful widmanstatten patterns! - Meteorite (D)
Giza Plains Dry/Rains, as well as the Pharos 1st, 2nd, 3rd ascent and Subterra, have also been edited from Split Infinity’s number system as they will be released as separate zones.
All areas that are not shown on the in-game map have been drawn by hand, by me. The Great Crystal and Sky Fortress Bahamut drawn by me.
Ancient City of Giruvegan map set is the only one that includes the Map Key/Legend.
These maps are FREE to be used by anyone, and to be distributed freely.
If anyone redistributes these maps DO NOT REMOVE THIS READ-ME! Do not change the content within these maps without contacting me first! Unless it is for your own private use.
Special Thanks;

Please enjoy these maps. 8-21-10 10:10 PM PST- Final Thoughts and Comments The project has come to a close. I have made roughly 406 maps for this project. It took much longer than I had anticipated but the end result I have to say I am quite pleased with. I spent a few hundred hours creating these maps and my only reward is knowing that at least one person out there will benefit for my hard work. I would like to thank a few people over at GameFaq’s FFXII IZJS forum for the support along the way, you know who you are.
Unless some drastic error pops up I am considering this project 100% done. I am honestly glad it is over, I started this project July 15th of 2010 not knowing how long it was going to take, had I known it would take two months I doubt I would have attempted it. Anyway please enjoy these maps and let people know about them. Ok now I can finally go back to playing my save file….Sincerely, Tirpitz
