Eyelash extensions for straight eyelashes??

I have straight eyelashes that aren't short but are not long either and was considering getting eyelash extensions. I feel like they would help so much because I'm constantly curling my eyelashes and am afraid that they are getting damaged. Would eyelash extensions work for my eyelashes? I'm not too familiar with the process but I love how my eyelashes look curled I just wish they weren't so damaging!
