Quitting water: day 1

Hey reddit! I know after reading about the terrible addictions of others and I know that mine will not compare, but i'd like to make this post anyways as a motivation for quitting.

I started drinking water before I even have memory. My friends and family were all consuming this substance in the open around me, going as far as to force me to participate even if I was busy playing. Everywhere I have ever been, I have observed people using this addictive substance in the open. It's served at every restaurant and every store. My apartment even has it on tap! So avoiding water is going to be much more difficult than anticipated.

Now that I am 18 and growing up I have began to realize the extent of my addiction. I can't go 2 hours without water before my mouth gets dry and water begins to invade my thoughts. If I go a whole day without water, I lose my appetite, get severe headaches, can't sleep, get nauseous, tire easily, and become very irritable. This is not good, I would like to be able to enjoy life without relying on a substance several times throughout the day just to get by and feel myself. I spend too much on water. I recieved a bill last month for $200! Imagine if I saved that money every month. In a year I would have $2400! That's money that could be put towards college, my car, or heroin! Such a waste to keep consuming water.

And lord forgive you if you can't afford to pay your daily water intake. It immediately gets shut off cutting my main supply right out if my hands. Having to deal with the anxiety of my livelihood relying on a bill is too hard. At any moment circumstances could remove me from my salvation.

I know some people probably drink twice as much as me, however I still am looking forward to updating you all on how this detox turns out!

Peace and love!
