I am so sick of my parents treating me like I don't know anything.

For example, I lived in a (let's say) City A for several years. I also worked actively in real estate so I know the local market. My parents and I got onto the topic of City A's medium home price and my dad just talked over me and spat out some shit like what I had to say on the subject wouldn't have any value... oh BUT HE KNOWS. Except that no only is he not in the real estate industry, or even living in City A (doesn't even visit)... but I do local market trends reports every quarter or so.

And he is talking to me like I don't know shit. UGH it irritates me and they do this with EVERYTHING. Like there is no possible way that I know and have experience in things that they don't.

Because they keep making me feel this way, I have limited my communication with them as much as possible. It makes me want to have a drink. Because 1. I'd have the courage to say something or 2. I wouldn't give a shit.

I don't know how to address it with them at all.
