Abnormal skin lesion tht the doctor said can't explain as of yet. Very worried and need advice.
So, I had this little sore on my ear that never healed (lasted a year). I went to the doctor twice and basically insisted that they biopsy it the second time round. They did, and found some form of malignancy that they can't identify. What has been done so far:
-genetic tests
-consultations with various pathologists and researchers from around the country
-it has been presented at conferences
Nobody can figure it out yet.
I am very worried, because they won't tell me anything except that it's bad and I need further treatment. They told me they don't know how aggressive they need to be with the removal, and want to wait until they know for sure. It's nearly been two months since the biopsy and I feel so in the dark and afraid that something horrible is happening. I asked if they would just remove it as aggressively as possible just in case, but they don't recommend it.
Basically, I'm terrified and need reassurance that I'm not dying of cancer. Have you heard of something like this before? Why won't they just aggressively remove it?
