Masters thesis investigating the motivations, experiences and outcomes for ayahuasca users in the Amazon
Hi folks!
I'm currently working on my Masters thesis in Cultural Tourism. The title is "Tourism for Transformation? Ayahuasca Tourism in the Peruvian Amazon." I'm looking at the motivations people have for travelling to the Amazon to take ayahuasca, and the experiences they have while they're there.
I've made an online survey to gather my data, and I'm hoping some of you would like to help me by completing it. It should only take about 5 minutes. I believe that most people who participate in ayahuasca ceremonies do so to make positive changes in their lives in some way, rather than just being hedonists or adventurers. I think they're trying to make a transformation in their lives, be it spiritual, mental or physical - and I'm hoping to show that in my report, so I need to hear from as many people as possible. Here's the link: https://survey.napier.ac.uk/n/zz3ae.aspx
I'm also looking for people to interview via Skype to get a deeper understanding of their motivations, experiences, and how they reintegrated into their normal lives following their trip. That should take about half an hour. Please PM me if you'd be interested.
Thanks, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!
