"Why would i build mr against support Veigar"

so to start im gonna post this conversation from a zed who was gold 1 solo because it is my opinion people under a certain rank do not understand veigar.

Zed: mf gets solod by veigar

Bakataumana: well i was getting ap all game last item i could solo anyone on your team lol

Bakataumana: no one built MR

Zed: lol youre an idiot

Zed: why would anyone on our team buy mr vs a support veigar

Zed: youre an idiot

Ok so I removed the guys name obviously it would be rude to call someone out even if they do call me an idiot twice. Lets break this down for a sec though. Every ability landing on a champion results in 1 AP increase and kills or assists. So while veigar is running around the lane Q'ing the support and ADC every few seconds he is getting stronger.. by the time he hits 20 minutes he can potentially have 200 AP from abilities alone depending on number of abilities. Kills and Assists give 5 AP each so in this game i was already at 16 total take downs giving me another 80 AP. with veigar AP ratios (Q-.6 W-1 R .75-1.5) you are looking at a roughly a bottom line of 600 from the AP scaling alone not counting the base damage from ability or the increase "execute" damage associated with his R. Now i play alot of mid and support veigar and always build him pretty much tank with a deathcap. morell mid and frost queen mid. In that conversation i was backing for needlessly large rod and sitting on over 350 AP.

The previous game i played veigar support today i ended the game with 20 AP more than our glass-cannon Annie mid who was full build. For the lower elo players who don't understand Veigar its pretty simple. If he is supporting he has a power spike with deathcap outside of that it is a steady increase all game. Farming helps him get bigger faster but doesnt mean that support veigar is less dangerous mid to late game and yes you should always build MR against a veigar who is doing more damage than 2-4 other players on the team. :)
