A hunter is nothing without weapons

I recently adquired mh4U and i like 3 weapons -Insect glaive(mounts,MOUNTS,MOUNTS!) -Charge blade(slashes everywhere) -Gunlance(directed by Michael Bay) I am in hr1 and in the second town you visit(not val habar)which weapon should i do for each class of weapons? (Sorry for my english)
