[Q] Entry DSLR vs "top" Point n Click for general tourism

Hey guys, I'm a beginner when it comes to cameras, but I'm thinking about getting one to take good and proper pictures of places I intend to visit.

I've been scavaging and my budget allows me to get entry DSLR cameras such as Rebel T5 (1200D) or Point n Clicks such as Canon SX60HS.

I'm looking for a practical approach here: best quality shots (crisp and clear, nice depth of field, great colors, no grains and stuff like that) with minimal effort. I don't want to expend minutes messing with the settings.

My main goal is to tackle landscapes, city shots etc. The superzoom of SX60HS is not very appealing to me, and the same goes for the super ISO and other stuff from DSLR that are aimed for extreme or professional photography.

What should I get?
