Tales From The Crypt Situation?

Whats the current situation surrounding the current Reboot of Tales From The Crypt?

Its been a long while since i've hear anything about it and i've been excited for its return ever since however the last i checked i heard the project was abandoned/currently in a hiatus due to legality reasons?

Can someone who has been following or knows whats up give me some expertised insert on the current situation with it?
