I want an Aspie girlfriend, but where and how do I find her?
For quite some time, I have been mainly interested in NT girls, and had some success. A few of those that I have been successful with have been quite quirky, but I have never managed to get a full relationship with anyone. Both because of myself not being attractive enough as the Aspie I am, and that I didn't feel any true connection.
Now I'm starting to realise that an Aspie girl would be the right fit for me, because we could more easily relate to eachother, but I worry about how to find her.
I have to admit I am an Aspie desperately trying to fit into the NT world. With understanding NTs I am sometimes fine, but it costs me a lot to keep up my "NT self". I strive to get a normal education and job, but I am somewhat failing in those aspects.
I wish I met people, especially a life partner, who I could say anything I want to and who would understand and accept me as Mikeross97, including that I have Asperger's, something that very, very few know (I don't dare to tell people).
I don't know the arenas though. It's difficult for me to relate to even quirky NTs too, because even though they show signs of AS, me telling them creates a distance between eachother. Girls who have diagnosed AS come across to me as very troubled in the vast majority of cases (and I feel that is reason behind why they have been diagnosed)
All I want is a partner (realistically AS) who accepts me as the Aspie I am, and who I understand, and she understands. Does anyone have any advice?
