Fruit allergies

My family thinks it's made up but when I eat apples, cherries, jackfruit, etc I get a really itchy tongue and throat. It also itches near my ear and it's really hard to swallow with a swollen throat. It's not bad with some of them but for cherries I eat two of them and it's really bad. I would like to know what it is if it's an allergy or if it's not and if it is what causes it so I know what to avoid eating.
