Proposal for Leagues

I posted a couple of weeks ago asking what people thought about having a community league organised for r/FantasyPL .

Despite the admittedly mixed response, I'm going to go ahead and assume that most of the people subbed here have some interest in taking part in some kind of organised subreddit league competition and/or don't know many friends or colleagues that are interested in taking part in Draft FPL for whatever reason.

Draft is now here, and we've got 3 weeks until the season starts, so plenty of time for the sub to grow a bit and to organise and work out if this is something we can do.

My suggestion would be to gather interested players for a series of coordinated equal sized 6-8 team (depending on interest) draft leagues and collate each weeks results into a single table.

Leagues would be named r/FPLDraft I, r/FPLDraft II, r/FPLDraft III, etc

As the season goes on, we could run side competitions, for example:

• Top 2 from each league go into a playoff tournament for a minor prize and flair or something.

• Highest scoring league.

The main challenges I see are organising a group of league commissioners and more importantly coordinating draft times.

Any and all suggestions welcomed.
