Biggest wheels for '96 Bronco?

I have been searching for a craigslist replacement set of oem polished aluminium 10 hole wheels for about a year and a half now with no luck. At one point I had a chance at some 17 inch Ford oem polished aluminium 10 hole wheels for a sweet 400 bucks (came with tires, too) but I thought it'd need a lift, which I don't intend to do. I don't really need 4 wheels. 3 would do, and really 2 would suffice.

I can't take looking at my less than perfect wheels. There's some acid-like damage on one, and some surface abrasion that one & others. Not a lot, but enough to annoy me. If I'm going to shell out new pricing, maybe I should go up to 16s or 17s. Can go 16 or 17 inch without a lift? My head is telling me that 17 inch wouldn't work, but maybe 16 would? (I'll kick myself if I find out the 17s would have worked...) Does anyone have any knowledge & advice on this?

I'm open to any suggestions. I mean , could the wheels be repolished? What other options do I have, since my patience with my craigslist tactic is waning.
