Any ideas for running longer without getting bored out of my mind on a treadmill?
I got into running recently and for the most part I've been running outside but some days it's just way too hot. So I tried to run on a treadmill and I just found it super difficult. I usually run outside without music or anything which is fine because it's nice to look around me and where I'm going but that's not really possible on a treadmill. I found that on a treadmill I can't come close to how far I can run outside because 1) it's just difficult in general having to control my speed with buttons and 2) I just get super bored staring at the ground the whole time. I tried to listen to music but even then I would still find it really hard to continue for more than 2 miles. I do plan on running outside mostly but on some days where I'm not able to I was looking for a way to help my treadmill problem.
I'm pretty sure that this is a common problem and so I was just wondering if anyone had any solutions.
