Having a problem with my gpu

I got an dell inspiron gaming laptop (with GTX 1050) the other day. I installed all the drivers, and was ready to go. But I was surprised to see that I have terrible fps results on very low demanding games, between 14-17, even on medium settings! I checked the Nvidia control panel, but everything was alright there. I don't know why it happened and how to fix it. Please help me!
