6 people in my office of 50 decided to leave the firm over the summer. Is this normal?

I'm new to the firm and it seems like a lot of people are leaving. 4 tax people and 2 auditors. And based on my conversations with other staff/seniors, I wouldn't be surprised if a couple more left before the year ends. What gives?
