[discussion] Emotional Vulnerability
I already know this post is going to be stupid, but bare with me, because it's a problem I know I have.. and I'm wondering if anyone else is like this too.
When it comes to romantic relationships, of any sort, I hate making myself vulnerable emotionally. I have no problem expressing how I feel (i.e.: telling my partner how much I care about them), but there are certain things I don't do, purely out of preserving my own ego. Like, for example, my current relationship is slightly long distance-ish. My partner works, I don't, so a lot of the time seeing him is on his terms, because he has a busier schedule than I do. I will never ask him a question like "when can I see you next?" ....even when I desperately want to see him. I don't watch any of his snapchat stories when he posts them, not because I'm not interested in his life, but because I don't like the idea that he thinks I am more interested than I actually am. Just stupid little things like that. Things I'm working on.
So I guess the question is, is anyone else like this.. or am I the only one.. lol!
