Awakened Empire Rivaled and Attacked Fallen Empire

Like the title says. When the Awakened Empire Rivaled the Fallen Empire I was excited for War in Heaven. Then they declared war and the Fallen Empire didn't awake. Now you have a much stronger Awakened Empire attacking a weaker Fallen Empire. I know the war is going to mean this Awakened Empire is going to be twice as big and it already has a fleet about 30% bigger than mine. What can a player do but declare war on the Awakened Empire and try to weaken them with a war on two fronts or wait for them to steam roll the galaxy. I figure since things are dicey, an Unbidden or Scourge invasion of my territory is coming because... Sorry, no screen shots, I'm at work.
