Hello everyone! I'm new to the hobby, and was wondering if anyone can help me with picking my first army.

Hi Warhammer40k! I've been lurking around on this subreddit for a few weeks now, and I think today is finally the day to take the plunge (again)! I remember playing with the models when I was younger, but that was a long time ago so most of my memory about the hobby has faded.

Which brings me to my current issue. I genuinely can't decide which army I want to pick back up with. I'll have a plan for one force, but then I'll see a cool picture of a model or read a tidbit of lore and suddenly I'm back to square one. The only thing that remains constant in my mind is that I want a fairly small, elite force, that hopefully has a clean aesthetic without too much clutter on the models. In your vastly more experienced opinions? Which army more fulfills those criteria? Thanks a lot for the help guys!
