I have the same medical condition Aaron Carter is blaming his meth head appearance on and I know he's completely full of sh!t, AMA!

Aaron Carter is claiming he has a "stress eating disorder" called a hiatal hernia that he was diagnosed with at 19. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia at age 21 in 1996 and have a more severe case than most. He was recently arrested for dui and drug possession and pictures of him looking extremely emaciated were released. Everyone assumed he's doing meth, including his own family. He claims in this interview that the reason he looks that way is because of the hernia and he has no control over it. I can tell you his meth head look has nothing to do with the hernia.

A hiatal hernia isn't a stress eating disorder, it isn't a eating disorder at all. It's a digestive disorder. While stress can exasserbate the condition, it's neither the cause nor a symptom of the condition. The condition also gets worse the more weight you put on, so no, it doesn't make you skinny but being thin can alleviate the symptoms.

A hiatal hernia is where part of the stomach bulges through the diaphragm into the esophagus, keeping the diaphragm open at all times. Food can make its way back up, causing nausea and vomiting. I basically throw up really easy. It's annoying and embarrassing to be throwing up often, and yes, I have a risk of problems such as cancer later, but it's nothing like what Aaron is making it out to be. I don't doubt he was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, but something else is the cause of his looks and he's completely misrepresenting this condition for distraction and sympathy.
